What a cool looking house! Is that front porch style typical for the area? I like seeing houses that are different!

Leslie,

It's what I call the "traditional Texas farm house" style.  This one was built in 1870 and was a single story with four rooms.  The second story, columns, and kitchen expansion were added along the way. This one is a Designated Texas Historical Home.
