Action Makes the Difference!
Tom Branch | RE/MAX Dallas Suburbs
It's important to keep an open mind as you read, hear, or otherwise experience ideas that can help you. Try not to judge them or cast them aside too quickly because they don't sound good, they're not part of your personality or make‑up, or because you may have heard them before.
Instead, consider these courses of action:
If you've heard an idea before, say to yourself, "Yes, I've heard that before, but am I using it? If not, why not?"
If you are currently using the idea, ask yourself, "How effective am I at using it? How can I improve on it to make it even more effective for me and my business?"
Next, ask yourself this question: "What will I do as a result of what I've learned?"
Remember, it's not what you know - it's what you do that counts. Ideas are powerful. And good ideas are really important for any business. They're what keep your interest up and your business fresh and alive and growing. And when put into action, good ideas can make a huge difference in the way you do business, the results you realize, the fun you have, and the profits you make.
Activerain is full of good, practical, and usable ideas that can help make that big difference for you. But it's up to you to tailor them to your own unique situation, and more importantly, to put them into action.

Great lesson there. Being a doer does take some guts though, especially if it's stepping out of your comfort zone. But sometimes, it takes getting out there to get it done.
I keep a fortune near and dear to me, I glance at it daily, it was made for me.
"There are dreamers and there are achievers. The difference between the two is ACTION!"
I am one of those people who love new ideas! I am open to anything and will try anything once! (ok, almost anything!) Even if it does not pan out, I may have learned something new or better in the process!
I ask the people I work with 2 questions... 1. Remember your old ways and habits take up 24/7/365 of your time. If you're going to adopt a new habit, you'll need to make room for it by giving up an old one. "What old habit can you give up?" 2. Don't judge a platform or technology (my favorite example, Twitter) by the people you heard about that are there, or the people you first encounter there... In other words, don't judge the technology by the stupid people that appear to show up there. Stupid people are everywhere. Look and study the possibilities. "Judge for yourself what might be possible." Look for people that are having success there...
Hi Tom, Good points in your post! Sometimes new ideas just get you going again. I always like to hear everything people have to say. There is always a better way of doing things.
