Spring in Texas is wonderful. The early spring rains give way to fields of Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes, and Buttercups.
I was out shooting photos of a new listing in Wylie, Texas the other afternoon. It's a pretty home located on a huge creek lot and the back of the lot was alive with spring color. I wanted to frame in the home with the wild flowers, so I worked my way down towards the creek.

As I knelt in the grass, I noted tiny grasshoppers, honey bees, and a praying mantis busy working in the flowers. I stopped what I was doing and put a longer lens on my Nikon so I could capture some of the color and wildlife.
Sometimes it pays to stop and admire nature's beauty.

My husband is from Texas (Austin) and has lots of pictures of the bluebonnets...he doesn't miss the heat in the summer though! lol
Hope your new listing gets a buyer quickly!
Thanks for sharing Tom.

Tom,
Nice pictures. Yes it does make a difference when we take off the blinders and actually look past the work to notice all that is beautiful around us.
Tom ~ Great pictures -- one of the many benefits of being in this industry -- we can take time to "smell the roses".
Love the pictures, you have got an amazing eye. Good job and good luck.
I find myself doing this often ... it's so easy to get sidetracked!

I'm considering starting on a new book sometime in the near future. Rather than business related, I simply want to publish some of my better photos. Perhaps we'll use them as client gifts.

Richard,
I try to carry either my Nikon DSLR or one of the point-and-shoot digital cameras all the time these days. Sometimes I'm reduced to using the iPhone 4 camera...
